For Internet Explorer and Firefox:
Q: Clicking the back button from one search to a previous search only displays the results from the most recent search.
-A: We hope to resolve this issue in the near future.
Q: The download box on tyBit.com keeps appearing even though I have tyBit installed.
-A: Make sure that the toolbar extension is enabled and visible in the browser. Try searching directly from the toolbar or restarting the browser.
Q: When a new version of tyBit is available, I press "Yes" to download the latest version. But nothing happens.
-A: Go to http://www.tybit.com/download.php and download the latest version. Oftentimes, these updates contain fixes to the auto-update feature. Make sure that your Windows User account is in the "Administrator" group--only Administrators are allowed to install software.
Q: I've installed tyBit but I don't see the toolbar.
For Internet Explorer:
Go to View->Toolbars and make sure that "tyBit Search" is in the menu. If it is, click on it. This will bring up the tyBit toolbar. If it does not, please contact us with your email address, the operating system you are using, and the version of Internet Explorer you are using.
If 'tyBit Search' is not in your menu, try uninstalling the toolbar and download the latest version of tyBit from www.tybit.com. If the toolbar does not show up after this reinstallation, please contact us with your email address, the operating system you are using, and the version of Internet Explorer you are using.
For Firefox:
Go to Tools->Addons. Scroll down until you see "tyBit Toolbar". Click on this entry and make sure that the addon is enabled. If you see the "enable" button, click it. If you do not see 'tyBit Toolbar', please download the latest version of tyBit from www.tybit.com and reinstall.
If after reinstallation you still do not see the "tyBit Toolbar", please contact us with your email address, the operating system you are using, and the version of Mozilla Firefox you are using.
Firefox only:
Q: Sometimes, Firefox results display very strangely. There are two search boxes and two copies of the ads. Search results may or may not display.
-A: Press the reload button. Your results will display properly.
Q: Firefox extension stops working/does not work.
-A: Try doing another search. If the searching page or the result page does not show up, try restarting the browser. If problems persist, try downloading the latest version of tyBit.
Q: If you click on a result before the result finishes, tyBit sometimes comes back and displays your search result.
-A: We hope to resolve this issue in the near future.
